The most significant
contribution of Met to the past and future of humanity was the
thirteenth art. It was not a new concept defining art and literature
concepts with different interpretations varying in a range starting
from classical to the unknown powers of modernism and post-modernism.
It was not limited with integrating some known and potential concepts
of the theories and practices of art in a carefully designed network
of knowledge to create a strong base to combine ideas and practices
with peoples and theories. It was even not limited with defining
local and international, global and universal bases of life
combinations. It was above all known bases of knowledge. It was more
than art and literature, more than science and technology, more than
history and sociology, mathematics and nature interpretations,
philosophy and life theories, individual and social mind theories and
practices, specific and generalized assumptions. It was simply more
than everything known, with a revolutionary understanding, accepting,
denying and re-creating of a dynamic relation between everything
known and everything not yet known. It was a creative and scientific
definition of the artius of existence. Met had suggested the concept
based on all the past information he could access. His ideas had
spread virally with an incredible speed. Soon, almost everyone in the
network of life was aware of him. The brilliant minds had noticed him
first, the rest of the operative or semi-operative natural minds had
heard about him from Brilliant Mind Network, The Brimind through
natural and automated with artificial intelligence communication
channels. Thirteenth art was everything lived, recorded, analyzed,
developed, described, and defined. It was a name to cover all the
past and future human activities from philosophy to advanced universe
analysis, from pre-human arts to future art combination researches,
from historical social life forms to artificial intelligence
supported life networks, from daily life to eternal values, from
nothing to everything. It was the art and sport of living.
Meri thought when she had
first heard about Met's concept. She was aware of the brilliant
approaches in Anmeri's theories and had information on many
contributions made to her natural mind approach later. However,
Bakara's ancestors were more powerful to impose their knowledge base
and ways of seeing to almost everywhere within the system. Hearing
about Anmeri had always required special attempts and included some
risks. Free mind exchange approach had changed the characteristics of
the economical, social, and political management forms of the
individual life units. It was becoming more and more difficult to
govern the conscious masses with known methods. Walls and barriers
were being built everywhere but they were only able to control and
limit physical exchange. At the mind level, everything was free. The
Skin System was an attempt to have direct control on minds through
artificial skins. Bakara could have also preferred to develope and
use direct mind control systems using Anmeri's revolutionary
communication interfaces in case Minders had accepted to deliver the
results of their findings to Bakara for his control system. Since
neither Meri nor the scientists following her had not accepted to
obey Bakara, he had had to use his own control system through the
skin interfaces. The future world with Skinners and Minders conflict
had been created upon this disagreement between Bakara and Anmeri,
after they went their separate ways. Everything could have been
different if Bakara and Anmeri could have found a different and
common solution, if Met's mother or Meri's father could have reached
to Anmeri for supporting her, or if Met and Meri could have met each
other earlier to find ways to prevent the fatal conflict between
minders and skinners. It was too late for changing the flow of
history using peaceful methods after Kara had won the majority of
active communication points. However, Met and Meri never considered
using harsh methods. In an age of communication at light speed,
preferring violent struggle methods to have control on individual
minds would be betrayal to life, to the nature, and to the universe.
They had therefore decided separately without knowing about each
other to be the defenders of life in a universal network of nature.
When Meri heard more about
Met's thirteen art concept and theories, she once more thought how
lucky they both were. They were a meaning for each other and their
meanings could help all others to find and see their own meanings. To
find their ways easier and earlier in their lives, while walking in
their own life paths through their life patterns they had found
arbitrarily in front of themselves starting from the first
intersection point of their existence. Meri tried to imagine and see
the last intersection points, the critical four; Met, Meri, Kara, and
Oria. She wished to find a human final interface between them. She
wished all the skinners and minders to complete their own ways of
life in peace with themselves, with each other, and with the nature.
The thirteenth art was an
eye to see the past and future. It was a means to see present and
understand personal meanings of existence. It was a sport to practice
life and reach to some goals. It was a skin to feel the existence of
others and the universe. It was a mind to have dynamic reflections of
the infinity of space, eternity of time, and volatility of life.
However, none of them were sufficient to be a meaning in Meri's mind.
The only meaning she could see was Met. Met was the spirit of Meri.
She wished everybody, Oria and Kara and all others could also find
their meanings.
"I am not this hair,
I am not this skin, I am the spirit inside," she said. She
hugged Met and kissed him passionately as if it was the last time she
would be able to see and touch and feel him, until she was exhausted.
