"I insist," said
Anmeri suddenly. "I will be human even at light speed, even if I
become pure light."
"You are human,"
said Bakara. "You can already be the definition of being human."
Anmeri looked at him
suspiciously.
"You must be at least
as human as me if you can see and think this."
"Why, do you think, I
love you so much?"
"I don't think our
views on humanity is the main factor connecting us to eachother,"
said she, catching Bakara's looks on her skin and her face at the
locations he most liked. "Can you promise that you will always
be human with me?"
"I will be human as
long as I feel you are with me," Bakara said.
Anmeri was thoughtful. She
looked in the eyes of Bakara trying to feel the sincerety of his
humanity. He was very handsome. It was very difficult to think that
he could do anything wrong. She tried to leave all her concerns
behind. She whispered while hugging and kissing Bakara:
"I want to believe
you will be a part of me while we are being human together."
