Meri had a strong feeling
of knowing Kara in both her deepnesses and extensions.
It was like a game of the
nature, of the Universe. The view of light was gaining different
meanings when its voices were heard, when its tastes and smells were
conceived, and when it was touched. The contact was being achieved at
three levels. Touching on the surface was the easiest one. Climbing
up the hills was difficult. Reaching the depths of the mysteries was
a far and unreachable target.
It was not easy to touch
light. It had costed lifetimes for species and ages. Light was
matter. Matter was energy. Energy was spirit. Spirit was human. Human
was living. Life was death. Death was birth. Birth was enlightenment.
Darkness was death. Death was hope. They had costed lifetimes for
humanity.
While witnessing the
interaction of Met and Kara during specific periods of their lives,
Meri was seeing and understanding both of them better. Met was the
history of human feelings and their successes. He had strong records
and expressions reflecting the limits humanity had achieved for a
better future. Kara was a symbol of the desire for power and
immortality. She was the long past of a weak species gaining an
incredible power with an uncontrolled evolution. Kara had gained the
power of understanding herself with all her inner details, and seeing
the exteriority beginning from the center of the earth and reaching
to the outer limits of universes at other dimensions. The most
critical point that Kara was trying to understand was a simple inner
detail. How were they daring to understand themselves limited with
the tools they have been delivered? Could an organ of meaning find
the meaning of universes and times giving them life without a
meaning? As Meri lived the memories of Met, Kara and Oria; she
started to understand them and herself better. She was now seeing her
inner and outer depths. Met was Meri, she needed no special attempt
to understand and see his spirit, what she felt was what Met deeply
felt. It had not been possible to see Oria with such a clarity and
closest although they had spent together much longer times than the
short interactions that Met and Meri could have. Meri had the feeling
of being have walked together with Met in the depths and hills of
life. Now Kara was giving the same feeling to Meri.
Meri had a strong feeling
of knowing Kara in both her deepnesses and extensions.
Kara's Skin System was
based on grids, wire mesh networks, long discussions, modifications,
improvements, and transformations. Met's Skin was an interface
between Met and Kara. Kara's Skin was an interface between Kara and
the other skins in the Skin System. Kara's Skin System was an
interface between Kara and the accessible universe.
Kara's life was a long
seek after depths and hills. Meri was able to understand her. They
had too many common aspects. They both had a very strong desire to
live. They both wanted to reach and see everywhere. They both wanted
to contact all forms of life. There was a very critical difference
though. Kara was forcing all the members of the Skin System to follow
the routes perfectly created by Kara. Meri was willing to have
positive interaction circles around herself. She would love to live
together with Met in their circle without fears of unknown systems.
She would love to interact with other circles to share their inner
and outer experiences. If Kara could possibly give up her fatal
efforts to impose the Skin System, she could be her best friend in
her life. Meri thought Kara could also want to be with Met in the
same way. If Kara would shut down the Skin System, build a nucleus
with Met for their circle, and start living happily together with
him, would Meri be able to continue seeing Met as an ordinary friend?
She was not sure.
Meri was not sure Kara had
planned all those on purpose or just moved ahead on incidental
actions, but they had had a very special connection after special
moments. Kara was probably testing her extensions and Meri was
absolutely sure that she was number two for Kara, after Met. Oria
could only be the third one. Meri was surprised to see that Kara was
insistently keeping Oria with her. The unique advantage of Oria for
the Skin System could only be his weaknesses.
Each time Kara used her
extension on Meri, they both were surprised to see its effects on
both of them. It was like a redefinition of the human history. Their
feeling poles were completely different. Meri would never forget her
first contact with the new feature of Kara's Skin. Kara had asked
Meri to touch her there. It was like an extending short hose giving
different feelings as it came out. Inner region was moist and
familiar, but the external surface was dry and hard. Meri tried to
stop herself and keep away from the sequence of events carefully
planned and triggered by Kara. It was not possible, her hidden
feelings were rising and rising. Her intimate desire to touch Kara
was nothing else from her desperate desires to touch herself. Besides
all, Kara was reflecting the power of life with an aesthetic and
valuable sequence of actions. Meri felt too weak to oppose Kara's
wills. She submitted herself to her desires.
Humanity was now in her
hands. Kara was whispering with a strong voice and desire. "You
are my future Meri." Meri was holding her future. It was
flexible and hard, it was giving undefinable feelings to Meri, they
were sharing a new type of experience and reflecting what they were
living in their movements, sounds, contacts, rhythms, with complex
functions of interactions in time and space? It was rising towards an
inevitable end. They were loving the moments they were living. They
were longing for the final moment. They were living to live wonderful
moments as long and as much as possible. When their eyes were locked
in each other, Meri was sure that she would never forget that time.
She would not prefer to live this with Kara. She was sure that Met
would not want to live all those with Kara. There was no need for an
explanation other than "Life is not predictable, it is life."
Kara had always been
giving incredible feelings to Meri, but who was Kara? Was she a human
being trying to extend her own life as long as possible? Was it a
combination of dynamic algorithms developed and activated by Kara to
survive as long as possible? When had Kara been born? Had she died?
Was she still living? Did her extensions have limits?
"They would burn you
if you had lived in the middle ages," said Merilia.
"I would burn them
now if I knew who they are and they are still living with the same
sprit," replied Kara.
